Review: User Stories Applied

I recently took the opportunity to re-read Mike Cohn‘s excellent book, User Stories Applied.

Whether you’re new to user stories, or just have a few gaps in your knowledge, User Stories Applied provides some excellent lessons in the role of user stories in software development.  For a technical book, it’s very readable, and Cohn provides plenty of examples to allow the reader to understand the process of how to write stories, and how to use them for estimating and planning a software release.

Cohn’s writing provides the enthusiasm and direction to allow the reader to discover more about the topic, and that’s exactly what I intend to do with another of his well-known titles, Agile Estimating and Planning.
